Know How to Attach a Glow Stick to a Fishing Rod

In addition to the entertainment and safety applications of glow sticks, they are also meant for many other practical and commercial applications. One among them is commercial fishing. Fishing industry gains a lot with colorful light sticks. The glowing light of these light sources is similar to that emitted by certain species of fish. So, when glow sticks are attached to the fishing rod, the fish get attracted to the colorful light and get trapped in your hands. However, the stick should be attached carefully to the fishing rod.

Take your fishing rod and attach reel in the fishing line. Then the rod is to be set down for easy access. Place the end of the fishing rod without metal guides in your hands. Now, just bend your desired colored glow stick and shake well. Place it at the tip of the fishing rod in such a way that the one end of the glow stick is at the side of the rod end. Then, a rubber band is to be slide down over the rod and the glow stick. It should be pushed to the bottom of the glow stick. If the band is too loose, then double it and run down to the tip of the light stick. Also slide a rubber band over the rod at the top of the glow stick. It is good to slide even a second rubber band at both ends of the glow stick to ensure tightness. However, it is to be ensured that the stick remains in static position. Once, your glow stick is attached to the fishing rod, it is ready and in fact, waiting to attract and grab the fish.

It can even be attached with a simple electronic tape instead of a rubber band. There are even some specific fishing glow sticks that have hooks at one end of the glow stick. These hooks make it easy to hang to the fishing rod or line. It is often seen that glow sticks of yellow and green colors are used for fishing. People interested in fishing even can try it for fun and recreation.
