Many small sized to big corporate offices use the curtains especially for windows. Some particular style of curtains do give the office rooms a formal look. Not only for decoration they are used for different reasons and one of them is to increase the productivity of the employees. There are two particular types of curtains used for formal look in the offices. They are the blinds and the shades. Let us know about them in detail.
Blinds: A window blind is one of the types of curtains used for covering the windows. It consists of number of slats arranged either vertically or horizontally. Those slats are made up of fabric, wood, plastic or metals which can be adjusted by rotating from an open position to closed position by overlapping on each other. Another type of window blinds is using a single fabric or sheet instead of many slats.

Window Blinds are available in different forms like shutters, roller blinds, vertical and horizontal blinds. Unlike normal curtains these blinds can be used to vary different parameters like light and heat in the office rooms. They are designed in such a way that they can allow no light, partial light to complete light. And the same applies for heat too.

Shades: Window shades are another type of curtains used for office windows. They vary in thickness and depending upon the purpose you can select them. If you are going for thick white shade they can be used for office power point presentations as well. The color of the shades is very important. Dark color shades are highly preferable since they obstruct the light and heat effectively. You can also print some business ideas and slogans on this shades making them more useful. These shades are best if you want to use them for privacy. They are available in different colors and designs and select the one which best suits your office color and theme.

These are two major types of curtains used for office purpose and fabrics can also be used if you want to create some casual look in your personal chamber.
