How to Make Fresh Cut Flowers Last Longer

Many people love flowers, and we grow them in our gardens. Fresh flowers make room brighter and change the mood. If flowers are not fresh then it distracts the beauty of the room. Keeping the flowers fresher for longer time is important to increase the beauty of them, whether you have cut them from your garden or you purchased them.

The following are few tips to make your flowers look fresh for long time.

Pick the freshest flowers as possible: If you are cutting them from your garden, choose the fresh flowers and cut. And if you are purchasing them from outside go for fresh bouquet, ensure the quality from florist.

Choose the right container: Based on the length of the flowers choose appropriate container to place them. And choose clean container to place the flowers in it.

Trim the ends of your stem: Clean the stems with cool and fresh water and trim the ends with sharp scissors, remember to them diagonally. This allows the flower to take more water and stays fresher for longer time.

Prepare your vase: Fill the vase with enough warm water and use aspirin or plant food to increase the life of flowers.

Remove the deadly leaves: Leaves may create bacteria in vase so it is better to remove the leaves of flowers before placing them in vase.
