Olympics Doesn’t Help China Tourism For 2008

Olympics was a great international event for China which pushed many to visit the country from all over the world.

The people who visited China in 2008 are 130 million, according to the numbers released by China’s National Tourism Administration. But still it was lower by around 2 million from the number of people who visited China on 2007.

This accounts to total of 2 percent fall in tourists’ rate of China. According to the official data, this is the first fall in five years.

The major thing that could have put people away from visiting the country could be the over security measures that were took up by the country for Olympics. Also the complicated visa requirements could somehow have impacted the demand. And then there was this earthquake which killed or kept missing almost 90,000 people from China.

And the economy downturn going on in all over the world plays the major role in dropping visitors’ number.
