Different Kinds of Fabrics Used for Making Dressing Gowns

Like all other apparels bathrobes are also made using different kinds of fabrics. Following are the different kinds of fabrics used for manufacturing bathrobes.

Cotton: Cotton is the most regular and the commonly used fabric for bathrobe making. Since it is the natural fibre which consists of cellulose it is a best option which can be used for any other apparel making. Due to the presence of cellulose cotton absorbs most of the water when compared to the other fabrics. This serves the primary purpose of the bath robes which are used to absorb water from the body after having shower. Again in cotton there is another material called terry cotton which is extensively used in the manufacture of bathrobes.

Silk: Another common fabric used in making bathrobe is silk. Silk bathrobes look luxurious as well as offer much comfort. They are made up of lustrous and fine fibre. One great feature of silk bath robes is they are light weight, and very thin. However they are a bit expensive than the cotton robes. But the look, one gets after wearing these robes make them feel worthy for investing in them. They are generally used for relaxation and not recommended for bath purposes.

Wool and Microfiber: Wool robes are also meant for relaxation and provide excellent warmth in cold regions. Coming to the robes made of micro fibres, they are made up of artificial material and are made to enhance the absorbing capacities of fabric. The robes made of microfiber are light in weight, thin, and are soft to touch.

These are the different fibres used for the making of bathrobes. The more the money we invest, the best kind of robes we can get which can offer us the flexibility of reaping multiple benefits.
