Employers have to be careful while hiring candidates for their workplace. It is necessary to check the details of the candidate before joining itself. Using STAR Method For Questioning Past Experience In The Interviewing

Behavioral interviewing technique helps more in identifying the past experience of the candidate. In this technique, the interviewer asks questions regarding candidate experience in the different situations in the past. STAR method is one of the easiest method to assess the candidate past experience in the different situations. STAR means Situation, Task at hand, Action, and Results.
  • Situation: The interviewer should check that how the candidate is describing the previous situation. How he or she handled the different situations in the past is important.
  • Task in hand: It is important to check that how the candidate was performed in the pervious job tasks.
  • Action: The candidate actions towards the job and how the skills were used in the previous situations are also important while assessing the candidate.
