Hiring manager is the key person in recruiting the candidates for the open position in various departments of the organization to which he/she is working for. A HR Manager is the responsible person for filling the open positions in an organization. He has a defined role which helps and supports him during the recruitment process. However, there are certain key responsibilities of a HR manger to perform in the organization as he being the head of the recruiting process. So, let us see what are the key responsibilities and roles of the managers.
  • No one knows when the requirement arises. So, the HRM should be always ready with the plans which are required for selection. Because the urgency for filling the position comes, there will be no time to plan things which leads to a wrong choice or a wrong process of recruitment. So it is always better to be ready with the plans.
  • Educating and training the team members is also a key responsibility of the HRM. Because only with a proper team, selection procedure becomes effective.
  • Sharing the responsibilities to the team members is also an essential task. Many HR managers often feel insecure and do not share their duties to the team members. This makes the members lack the required skills which are necessary for hiring the right candidate. Defining the individual roles and responsibilities is very important. Constant tips received from the manager often helps the team members to improve their skills and to show good progress in all the processes.
  • Communication is the most important skill which is required by the person who takes a highly responsible role in managing a recruiting team. Unless, the manager explains what exactly are the required qualifications they cannot understand the position requirements and tend to do wrong choices.
  • Inventing and implementing new tools in the hiring process is one of the key roles of the HR manager. He should be smart enough to develop new strategies with the experience and expertise he had till then. This makes an effective change in all the processes and gives a sense of freshness even to the recruiting team.
These are the few responsibilities of the HR managers, and successful implementation of the new tools in hiring process shows good results in choosing the right candidates.
